Ramcilovic: Reconciliation group offers fresh draft law on amnesty


The group for reconciliation – part of the inter-party parliamentary commission for integration, reforms and reconciliation – has prepared a fresh draft law on amnesty, which is to be submitted later on Wednesday to the Commission’s co-chairs.

The draft law doesn’t cover organizers of and those involved in acts of violence during  the 27 April 2017 incidents in the Parliament, group’s chairman Zekir Ramcilovic said.

The inter-party parliamentary group for Integration and Reconciliation is expected to meet today and review the draft legal solution for amnesty, which will be adopted in fast-track procedure. Announced details of the legal text after the inter-parliamentary group meeting, which was formed at the initiative of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and the independent parliamentary group of VMRO-DPMNE comprised of MPs who supported the accession to constitutional changes.
