President Ivanov attends Peace and Sport International Forum in Monaco

President Gjorge Ivanov takes part Thursday at the 10th Peace and Sport International Forum, which is held in the Principality of Monaco, under the patronage of the Prince of Monaco, Albert II.

The Peace and Sport International Forum brings together leading figures from the worlds of sport and peace in order to share best practices. This year heralds the organization’s tenth anniversary, and the Forum’s theme of “Sport innovation for social transformation” emphasizes the importance of social innovation as a tool to help societies transform through sport.

As the largest global event convening the world of sport for peace, each year, the Forum has united more than 600 major decision-makers from over 110 countries including Head of States, Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, sports governing bodies and high level athletes, international organizations, NGOs and academia.

Ivanov is scheduled to hold bilateral meeting with Prince Albert II of Monaco in the frameworks of the forum.

Founded in 2007, the event is politically neutral and works to develop worldwide peace through sport. It has earned a reputation as a major international gathering for open and forthright dialogue with no taboos, focusing on one goal: cooperating, creating and sharing concrete initiatives that place sport at the service of peace in the world.
