Parliament schedules session on constitutional changes for 21:00h on Friday

The Parliament set the session on constitutional changes from the Prespa Agreement for 21:00h on Friday.
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said while leaving the Parliament there are attempts to secure a two-thirds majority under normal circumstances.

– It is up to the Parliament to schedule the session, PM Zaev stated for the media.

The VMRO-DPMNE MP group issued a press release, in which it says that a Parliament session, as stipulated in the Rules of Procedures, lasts until 18:00h unless the Speaker decides otherwise through a letter.

“We have not received such notification until 18:30h and therefore consider today’s session as finished. The MP group urges competent institutions, especially the Public Prosecutor’s Office, to investigate media reports that several deputies have been blackmailed, threatened and bribed towards influencing their vote,” reads the statement.
