Osmani-Thimonier: France supports Macedonia’s European perspectives

Vice Premier for European Affairs Bujar Osmani met Monday with French Ambassador Christian Thimonier on occasion of the formal inclusion of French technical expert Francois Lafond as a full member of the Secretariat for European Affairs.

Vice Premier Osmani thanked France for the sincere support to Macedonia, highlighting its importance as Union member-state in the promotion of the enlargement policy with countries of the Western Balkans, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release.

He also referred to the fresh potentials amid the release of the European Commission’s Western Balkans Enlargement Strategy, saying is it one of the most important initiatives in the region that puts the enlargement issue high on EU’s agenda.
