Mickoski to Zaev: I will support you if you give up the Law on Languages

The leader of VMRO-DPMNE today came up with a proposal to Prime Minister Zoran Zaev. Hristijan Mickoski, in interview for Sitel, pledged support for the government from his party, if SDSM and Zoran Zaev give up the Law on Languages.

“I have two things to say to Mr. Zoran Zaev at this moment. The first one is, if he honestly means well for the Republic of Macedonia, and if he really declares himtself as a reformist politician, that is, a politician who has the primary goal of reforms, then we will continue with the reform process because they are the real priority for the development of the Republic of Macedonia. If Mr. Zoran Zaev has a concession and if he is blackmailed through that concession that the Government will fall apart and if there is a ‘deal’ for the Government to remain, we, VMRO-DPMNE, are offering our parliamentary deputies, to support this Government in all these reform processes under one condition: to remove the Law on Languages from the parliamentary procedure. VMRO-DPMNE will support Mr. Zoran Zaev’s government in the implementation of all reform laws, unconditionally, because the future of this country is in the reforms,” said Mickoski.
