Head of Slovenian diplomacy Cerar on an official visit to Macedonia


The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Miro Cerar, will pay an official visit to the Republic of Macedonia at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov on Wednesday.

As reported, the meeting between FM Dimitrov and FM Cerar will focus on exchanging views on overall bilateral relations between the two friendly countries as well as the possibilities for boosting the cooperation in several areas of mutual interest.

Both ministers will attend opening ceremony of new premises of the Slovenian Embassy to Macedonia.

Ahead of his visit to Skopje, Cerar in the interview with MIA said that Slovenia wishes Macedonia to sooner join EU and NATO since it will bring great benefits to the country. Friendship treaty with Bulgaria and especially Prespa Agreement are important step that opened the doors for EU and NATO to Macedonia.
