Criminal Court extends detention by another 30 days for former UBK head Atanasovski

The Skopje-based Criminal Court has extended the detention of former Administration for Security and Counterintelligence (UBK) head Vladimir Atanasovski by another 30 days.

Vladimir Atanasovski is suspected of ‘association for enemy activity’ related to the 27 April 2017 events in Parliament.

Ex-director of UBK Atanasovski was detained last December after the testimony of two defendants in the case, who pointed to the ex-UBK chief as one of the organizers of the Parliament storming. He replaced Saso Mijalkov as UBK chief in September 2016 and held the post until June 2017.
