Coordination meeting convened on Saturday over Nimetz’s proposals

A coordination meeting over the framework proposed recently by the UN mediator in the name talks, Matthew Nimetz, will take place on Saturday afternoon at the MPs’ Club.

The meeting, initiated by the Foreign Ministry (MoFA), will be attended by President Gjorge Ivanov and the leader of the opposition party VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, MoFA told MIA.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the initiator to organize a coordination meeting aimed at informing the relevant political stakeholders in the Republic of Macedonia about the proposal of Ambassador Matthew Nimetz, put forward at his recent meeting with the Macedonian and Greek negotiators in New York. As previously briefed, President Ivanov stands ready to attend such a meeting,” his office has told MIA.

Speaking at Wednesday’s press conference, government spokesman Mile Bosnjakovski said a meeting would be held ‘soon’ over Nimetz’s framework that would bring together several political leaders.

The government, he stated, has already started analyzing and is coordinating regarding the latest framework of the UN envoy and is expecting a wide national consensus to be established.
