Alispagic: Six-year sentence is not enough for a killer like Ilic

The Basic Court Kumanovo today announced the verdict in the Almir case and the first defendant Boban Ilic was found guilty of serious crimes against traffic and property safety and sentenced him to six years in prison.

After the announcement of the verdict, lawyer Asmir Alispagic, on behalf of the convicted for violence, said that he would appeal the Court’s verdict. He says there are serious shortcomings in the court proceedings.

“The judge dared to sentence the father, the uncle and the cousin of Almir Aliu. This is another case in the series of cases framed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office-Kumanovo and today’s pronouncement of the verdict. I am sorry about this, I as a lawyer will fight to prove that it is so,” said lawyer Asmir Alispagic.

A member of the Aliu family also reacted, who said he was not satisfied with the verdict of the first defendant Boban Ilic, and announced charges against the Kumanovo Prosecutor’s Office and the trial judge.

The lawyer of the first defendant, Stevan Pavlevski, said that he was not satisfied with the sentence and announced an appeal to the court verdict.
