Lenche Ristoska authorized to prosecute the “Thaler 2” case

Former SPO Prosecutor Lenche Ristovska has been authorized by State Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski to take charge of the “Thaler 2” case in the Skopje Criminal Court. The case trial is scheduled for Thursday.

In the “Thaler 2” case, former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and former government secretary-general Kiril Bozhinovski are charged with abuse of office over the construction of the building of the VMRO-DPMNE HQ. The contractor DG Beton AD Skopje had signed other public procurement contracts with state institutions and public enterprises at the time, which represents a violation of the laws on political parties, party financing and obligatory relations.

In the process, the defendants secured property gains for the party VMRO-DPMNE in the amount of over Mden 507 million (EUR 8,25 million).
