Jankuloska’s trial continues with a presentation of written evidence

By presenting written evidence, the separate proceedings against former Interior Minister Gordana Jankuloska in the case “Tenk” by the Special Public Prosecutor’s Office, continued today in the Criminal Court.

Before the beginning of today’s hearing, defense lawyer Boro Tasevski asked for the presentation of material evidence to be carried out with elaboration, unlike before when only titles from the list of evidence were read. According to the defense, the request aims to make everyone fully acquainted with the material evidence.

Stefco Donev from the SPP said that this proposal aims to just postpone the procedure, pointing out that the defense does not dispute the content of material evidence, but only the manner of presentation.

The judge of the trial chamber, Judge Dobrila Kacarska, said that the Court has already ruled on this request for a preliminary proceeding, but given that two jurors are new, she will have to reconsider.

After a 10-minute pause, the court rejected the defense’s proposal as unfounded and the presentation of written evidence continued.

In the previous proceedings, several witnesses proposed by the prosecutor’s office were questioned, who in some way were involved in the public procurement procedure for the Mercedes-Benz vehicle worth 600.000 euro in 2012.

After presenting the material evidence from the prosecution, at the next hearing, the witnesses proposed by the defense should be questioned.
