Dimitrov-Katrougalos: Continuation of positive dynamic of relations and cooperation between the two countries


North Macedonia’s Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov and Greece’s Foreign Minister Georgios Katrougalos, who represented Greece at the inauguration ceremony of President Stevo Pendarovski, met today and expressed readiness for continuation of positive dynamic of relations and cooperation development between the two countries.

Affirming the readiness to continue the positive dynamics in which the relations and cooperation between the two countries are developing, Dimitrov and Katrougalos said that the high-level meetings (especially the visit of Greek PM Alexis Tsipras to Skopje) reflect the determination to build relations based on mutual trust and partnership, Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.

The two ministers also discussed economic cooperation, especially infrastructure connectivity, which facilitates the overall communication of citizens and business entities, including the two new agreed border crossings.

FM Dimitrov once again thanked for the Greek support for country’s membership bids into NATO and EU.
He expressed satisfaction of the pace of ratification of the North Macedonia’s NATO accession protocol by Alliance member countries, said that the EU will appropriately assess reform and good neighborly achievements of North Macedonia.
