Sekerinska in Vermont: Macedonia earned its place in NATO

Defence Minister Radmila Sekerinska believes that Macedonia deserves NATO membership with its commitment and work and Macedonia’s invitation to NATO will contribute not only to stability of the country but to entire region.

“The main reason of my visit and my meetings is to ask US Administration for a strong message of support prior the NATO Summit this summer. Macedonia has earned its place at NATO’s table, we have worked hard. We believe that Macedonia’s invitation to NATO will contribute not only to our stability, but also to the stability of the region that has been proven to be important for the US strategic interests,” Sekerinska told press briefing to US media during her visit to the State of Vermont.

At the press briefing she answered reporters’ questions related to meetings with Governor and Commander of the Vermont National Guard, the goal of her official US visit, the meetings with US officials in Washington and the importance of the support from strategic partner for Macedonia’s membership to NATO.
