BESA gives one MP for securing majority in Parliament

While awaiting the beginning of the parliamentary session for the final phase of constitutional changes, political circles speculate that the BESA of Bilal Kasami and Prime Minister Zoran Zaev have reached an agreement on the demands of the Albanian opposition party.

There are talks that an agreement has been reached, and that one of Kasami’s two MPs to vote ;in favour’, while the other is to oppose the constitutional changes. Reportedly, Teuta Bilali, will raise her hand in favour of the agreement with Greece, while Fadil Zendeli will vote ‘against’, given that an official agreement has not yet been reached.

Sources from the ruling coalition claim that there is a majority secured for the vote on the Prespa Agreement, even if BESA MPs decide not to vote.
