US Vice-President Biden to Zaev: Your premiership will be rightly remembered

North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has received a letter from former United States Vice-President Joe Biden, who says it was an honor to meet and exchange views with Zaev at the recent Munich Security Conference.

“Let me once more congratulate you on the historic Prespa Agreement with Greece. I believe this breakthrough will prove a momentous step forward in a vital moment for European integration and unity. As I said in our meeting, if North Macedonia succeeds, it means Europe as a whole is succeeding – and that is good for everyone,” reads the letter sent to PM Zaev.

Vice President Biden looks forward to welcoming North Macedonia as a NATO ally.

“Your vision has laid the groundwork for a future of security and stability, and your premiership will be rightly remembered for its historic achievements on behalf of the citizens of North Macedonia,” adds Biden.

He expresses confidence that the friendship between the two peoples will continue to grow stronger in the years to come.

“I will personally stand with you as you fulfill your commitment to a brighter future,” underlines former U.S. Vice-President Biden in the letter to PM Zaev.
