Thessaloniki hearing over extradition of former UBK officials Grujevski, Boskovski

Hearing regarding Macedonia’s request for extradition of former Administration for Security and Counterintelligence (UBK) officials Goran Grujevski and Nikola Boskovski, who are indicted in several Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPO) cases, is to take place in Thessaloniki on Wednesday.

The last hearing was postponed due to the absence of a defense lawyer.

Grujevski and Boskovski are currently detained in the vicinity of Thessaloniki. They are also tried over the fake Bulgarian passports they used when attempting to leave the Thessaloniki airport on October 18.

The two former secret police employees are indicted by the SPO in cases Fortress, Fortress 2 and Target over illegal interception of communications and destruction of equipment used for the interception.
