Survey: Youth in North Macedonia is unhappy with what the country has to offer


The number of people who are willing to leave the country in North Macedonia is growing by the day due to the difficult living conditions and the lack of perspective that they’re facing.

These are some of the conclusions of an opinion poll conducted by “Fakulteti.mk” portal in Skopje.

According to this opinion poll, youth in North Macedonia is not happy with the conditions that their country has to offer them.

Over 83% of respondents have declared that they would leave the country if given the right opportunity. Meanwhile, only 8,3% faced a dilemma, while 7,9% have said that they would not abandon the country.

Natasa is a student who says that she is unhappy with the political developments in the country and the lack of perspective.

“Salaries are low, standards are low as well and nepotism is high. This is what the country offers. I don’t know when things will improve, but the number of people leaving this country is growing by the day”, she says.

The opinion poll included 1400 respondents, mainly students who regularly read this portal.
