Sela case – Pavleski: I saved Sela’s life and they sentenced me to prison

The court pronounced the first prison sentences for the attack on the Assembly, which took place on April 27, 2017 in Parliament.
Stojan Pavleski was sentenced to three years in prison, and Cejo Gjorgievski was sentenced to one year and two months in prison for the criminal act of violence, that is, about the violent behavior towards the MPs in the Assembly.

The president of the Judicial Council, Slavica Andreevska, said that the difference in the amount of the penalties was because Pavleski was the first to enter the Parliament and go for the deputies.

Pavleski, after pronouncing the verdicts before the Court, said he did not expect such a high sentence and announced that he would appeal the decision to the higher court.

“I saved Sela’s life, and now I’m being sentenced for it,” Pavleski said.

The last footage that the prosecution presented as evidence showed that these two defendants who were tried for attacking MP Zijadin Sela did not participate in the attack on Sela, but they entered the Parliament and behaved violently.

The remaining seven defendants will be tried for the attack on Sela who was beaten up in the Parliament and barely survived the attack.
