SDSM Secretary General Kiracovski: Over 60 MPs endorse Stevo Pendarovski

Over 60 MPs have endorsed the nomination of Stevo Pendarovski to run for president, said SDSM Secretary General Aleksandar Kiracovski.
“MPs from different ethnic communities, different political parties are coming together in support of the joint candidate for victory, for progress and for the future. Stevo is our joint candidate because we believe he is a person with integrity, who will serve as the true president of all citizens. The lawmakers know all too well how important is the election of the head of state for the country, the citizens and Parliament,” said SDSM MP Kiracovski, who serves as the head of the campaign headquarters.
The Republic of North Macedonia doesn’t need another Ivanov, he said, referencing to Gjorge Ivanov, the outgoing president who has served two 5-year terms.
“The country doesn’t need yet another partisan protegee who is ready to act against the interests of the country, to break the Constitution acting only in the interests of the party and the party leader. This is what has been happening to us for 10 years,” he noted.
According to SDSM Secretary General Kiracovski, the country needs a president who works with all progressive and democratic forces, a president who is leading the country toward the EU and NATO. “Stevo Pendarovski is the true candidate for a president.”
