Process for collecting signatures for presidential nominees ended at midnight


The process for collecting signatures for presidential nominees, which began on February 23rd, ended at midnight. Each presidential candidate should collect at least 10,000 signatures from the electorate.

Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, the presidential candidate supported by the opposition party VMRO-DPMNE, Stevo Pendarovski, supported by the ruling SDSM-DUI coalition, and Blerim Reka, an independent candidate supported by the Alliance for Albanians and Bilal Kasami’s Besa, have collected the required number of signatures.
Filip Petrovski, Dimce Petrovski, Josiv Mircevski and Gospodin Poposki, were collecting signatures to run in the April presidential elections.

After counting the signatures, the State Election Commission will officially announce how many candidates have met the requirement.
