Osmani: The government and the opposition trying to reach a consensus on few measures from Plan 3-6-9

Three or four measures are marked with red as measures that are delayed within the reforms contained in Plan 3-6-9 and are intensively discussed by political parties from the government and the opposition in order to achieve political consensus, said the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European affairs questions Bujar Osmani.
He did not specify exactly what those measures were, but he mentioned that all laws in the field of justice and security services were discussed.
He noted that there is progress in the communication between political parties and that a basic trust between the parties is being built in order to be able to discuss more specific legal solutions more substantively.

– I cannot say anything yet about the final epilogue, because there is no final epilogue, but we are on the right track, said Osmani.
He stressed that the issue of the law on the promotion of the use of languages should be part of the process and possibly perhaps placed in that package.
– Yesterday’s events can move the whole process, Osmani added.
He made this statement shortly before presenting the status of implementation of Plan 3-6-9 to the ambassadors of the member states of the European Union by the ministers responsible for implementing the reforms.
The process of the reforms were presented by Osmani, Defense Minister Radmila Sekerinska, Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski, Justice Minister Bilen Saljiji and Minister of Information Society and Administration Damjan Mancevski in front of the ambassadors.
There are measures that still have a deadline for implementation by mid-April, that is, until the publication of the European Commission’s annual progress report on the country.
– The idea is to, once again, clearly seek support from the ambassadors for receiving a report in accordance with the merits and to get a fair chance Macedonia move forward in the process of European integration, Osmani said.
He emphasized that Macedonia has been restored to its EU integration path, reforms are being realized and they will continue and intensify especially when the negotiation process starts, but also after the country becomes a member of the Union.
