Oliver Spasovski survives no-confidence vote in Parliament

Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski survived the no-confidence vote in Parliament ON Monday evening. Parliament members voted 59 to 20 against the motion called by the opposition.

The debate saw clashes between ruling and opposition parties regarding Minister Spasovski’s quality of work, his competence and readiness to respond to challenges faced by the Ministry.

The main opposition VMRO-DPMNE accused Minister Spasovski of illegal tenders, nepotism and selective arrest.

The position of the ruling SDSM party was that Spasovski is a professional, committed to the fulfillment of his responsibilities as  minister of internal affairs.

The vote of no-confidence in Interior Minister Spasovski started Monday at noon, as part of the 86th Parliament session agenda.
