‘Kathimerini’: Kotzias visit amid tensions in Skopje

The visit of Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias to Skopje, most probably on March 22-23, comes at a time of rising political tensions following Wednesday’s events in the parliament regarding the adoption of the law on languages, reads Greek daily “Kathimerini”.

The paper explains that the law was adopted but the Parliament’s security services prevented an incident between Nikola Gruevski and Talat Xhaferi, MIA reports from Athens.

According to Kathimerini, the visit is expected to produce key discussions of the Greek FM with Macedonian top officials.

The video from the incident between the former PM and the Parliament Speaker has also been released by TV station “Skai”.

“President Ivanov also poured oil to the fire by saying he does not intend to sign the bill,” reports the TV station.
