Former Interior minister Cavkov released from detention yet again

Former interior minister Mitko Cavkov has been once again released from pre-trial detention, said the director of the Skopje prison.

Earlier, the Appellate Court upheld a decision of the Criminal Court allowing Cavkov to post bail, estimated at €600,000 in assets, that guarantees he won’t flee after being released from prison.

Cavkov, who served as head of the Public Security Bureau, is charged with terrorist endangerment of the constitutional order and security for his involvement in the violent events in Parliament on 27 April 2017.
