Dimitrov wishes success to Kotzias and promises to finalize the Prespa Agreement

Macedonia’s FM Nikola Dimitrov wished success to Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, who resigned on Wednesday and promised commitment in the process of finalizing the Prespa Agreement.

“Under the leadership of Prime Ministers Alexis Tsipras and Zoran Zaev, together with Foreign Minister Kotzias, we shared months of intensive communications, during which we became true friends. In only one year, we managed to achieve something that in the past 27 years was considered to be impossible – we brought our two countries closer and we signed the historic Prespa Agreement, establishing thereby a bridge of friendship and proving that our region is also capable of resolving disputes and producing a future.”

“Nikos, from the very bottom of my heart, I wish you good health and success in all your future endeavors. We, from our side, will continue with our strong commitment to finalizing this historic resolution, working closely together with all the other progressive and democratic forces in Skopje and Athens,” Dimitrov said in the written statement.
