Rose Gottemoeller sends video message to Sekerinska and women in Macedonia (Video)

NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller sent a special video message to Defense Minister Radmila Sekerinska and women in the Republic of Macedonia.

In the message, NATO Deputy Secretary General Gottemoeller says:

– Today we mark the International Women’s Day. For us in NATO, today, like every day, we are promoting the participation of women in all areas of security and defense.
Women can represent and indeed are a catalyst for peaceful resolution of conflicts. We can also play leading roles in conflict prevention and in strengthening the rule of law and good governance. We know that peace can best be guaranteed through inclusion. We know that, although we still have a lot to do, we are making progress.
We want NATO to be a global leader for equal rights and equal participation of women. I know that you are committed to it, and I would like to pay tribute to Deputy Prime Minister Sekerinska and her team for their work in this area. Thank you and have an excellent International Women’s Day.”

Gottemoeller’s message was aired at a tribune organized by the Ministry of Defense on the topic “A gender perspective in defense” on the occasion of the International Women’s Day.
