Public Prosecutor indicts 30 individuals over April 27 events in Parliament

The Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) has filed an indictment to the Basic Court Skopje 1 against 30 individuals regarding the events in Parliament on 27 April 2017, said Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski on Tuesday.

Joveski told a press conference that 28 individuals are indicted for terrorist endangerment of the constitutional order and security of Article 313 of the Criminal Code, while two for assisting this crime.

“The investigation has established, and we are convinced the judicial procedure will prove, that the defendants acted with the same goal, carrying out coordinated activities. I assure you that the PPO will continue to proceed according to the law, holding responsible those who have committed crimes, thus securing the principle of legal certainty as one of the fundamental aspects of the rule of law,” said Joveski.
