Pompeo’s deputy to visit Skopje next week


US State Department Deputy State Secretary John Sullivan will visit several European metropolises, including Skopje, in the next eight days. The deputy chief of US diplomacy will visit Bratislava, Vienna, Sofia, Sarajevo, Skopje and Warsaw in the next eight days.

Sullivan will arrive in Skopje on December 18th, as the highest state official in the State Department, who has been on an official visit to Macedonia since 2001. During his visit to Skopje, Sullivan is planning to discuss regional issues and encourage Macedonian authorities to continue the reforms and implementation of the Prespa Agreement.

During his brief visit to European destinations, the US Deputy Head of the State Department will also meet with US embassy staff in each of these countries, as well as representatives of business communities, alumni of American exchange programs and civil society.
