Pendarovski to meet Macron today


North Macedonia’s President Stevo Pendarovski who is paying a two-day visit to Paris, attended Monday evening a dinner for the heads of state and government organised by the French President Emmanuel Macron ahead of 2019 Paris Peace Forum.

Today, the president will attend Paris Peace Forum and will deliver an address on regional security, his office said in a press release.

On the sidelines of the Paris Peace Forum, Pendarovski is scheduled to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron as well as with Austrian Chancellor Brigitte Bierlein, UN Secretary-General António Guterres and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

French President Emmanuel Macron, European Commission president-elect Ursula von der Leyen Congo President Felix Tshisekedi and Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan, will officially open the second edition of the Paris Peace Forum Tuesday in the French capital city.

The Paris Peace Forum is part of the drive by the French President Emmanuel Macron, to reaffirm the importance of multilateralism and collective action in responding to current global challenges.  Forum will be a place for sharing experiences and innovative solutions bringing together all governance stakeholders including heads of state and government, local and national elected representatives, regional and international organizations and civil society.
