New protests in Athens against the name agreement on Thursday

Citizens of Athens have announced fresh protests against the name deal between Greece and Macedonia on Thursday.

The so-called Committee for the Greek Character of Macedonia has urged citizens to come out and protest in downtown Athens , amid the parliament’s vote to ratify the Prespa Agreement.

“No one should go to work on Wednesday and Thursday. Shops, businesses, schools should remain closed, flags should be at half mast in every home, church bells should ring in mourning. We owe this to those who left their families and gave sacrifice so that Macedonia remains Greek about 100 years ago,” said the organizers of the protests in Greece.
