Mickoski: Macedonia has only one problem – Zoran Zaev

Macedonia has only one problem – his name is Zoran Zaev, VMRO-DPMNE’s leader, Hristijan Mickoski, stated today from Stip. On the usual weekly opposition marches across the country’s cities, the same messages were heard as all these days and weeks since the referendum on the name agreement with Greece was scheduled.

He once again said that while respecting the democratic rights of citizens, they themselves decide how they will act on September 30th. He repeated that VMRO-DPMNE is in favour of a membership to the EU and NATO, but that the signed agreement is a defeat, it changes the name of the state, erases history, and the identity is lost.

Mickoski said that he was constantly asked what was plan B if the referendum failed and concluded that first we must turn to the plan A – for Zaev and the clique surrounding him urgently to leave. In this context, he urged members of SDSM to separate themselves from the criminal leadership of the party and to act according to their own convictions, because the stake is now not a parliamentary or a director’s position, but Macedonia. He announced that he will fight “until his last breath”.
