Merkel’s adviser will be breathing in Zaev’s neck

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev announced the establishment of a German-Macedonian steering committee, which will decide on economic issues.

“The news is that Chancellor Angela Merkel and I already confirmed the establishment of a steering committee for the economy. Why with Merkel? You know that apart from the domestic economy, we have a serious, biggest trade relationship with Germany. It is expected 2018 to end with a trade exchange of 4 billion euro. In 2017 it was 3,6 billion, where we are impressively dominant in exports. This confirms how many German companies we have in Macedonia. This steering committee between Macedonia and Germany will be only for the economy, not for politics”, the prime minister announced, adding that there will be another adviser.

“And the future adviser who will be in my cabinet will be briefed directly from Germany, especially from the economic community. He will mostly be devoted to dual education, that is, the preparation of a skilled workforce”, Prime Minister Zaev said, pointing out that the business community is aware that this is welcomed and that this assistance will not only apply to German companies, because the preparation will go of the entire staff and will be a serious relief and opportunity for the domestic economy.
