Interior Ministry official arrested for abuse of office
Whether bribery was the reason for yesterday’s detention of a senior official of the Ministry of Interior, with initials DS, is expected to be known today. The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office is working on the case and details will be announced this afternoon.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has not reported any news so far about the detention of their official DS, an employee of the cabinet of Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski.
By order of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, DS yesterday afternoon was detained in the police station Kisela Voda on suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Article 353 of the Criminal Code “abuse of official position and authority”.
Some of the media unofficially reported that DS was arrested for bribery and claimed for the position of chairman in the SIA Skopje.
