Greece thanks Macedonia for assistance and support

Natural disasters know no boundaries and transcend disputes, says the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs while thanking everyone for offered assistance and support.

“We express our sincere gratitude to the Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Mevlut Cavusoglu, and FYROM, Nikola Dimitrov, for their swift reaction in offering their aerial firefighting capacities for the extinguishing of the deadly wildfires in Attica,” says the MoFA.

The ministry also thanks Cyprus, Israel, Spain and the European Commission for the offered assistance, as well as “all friends and partners who have expressed their compassion and solidarity with the Greek people.”

“This demonstrates in practice the spirit of true cooperation and solidarity, and the fact that natural disasters know no boundaries and transcend disputes,” notes the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
