FM Dimitrov to pay official visit to Brussels on May 28-29

Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov is to pay official visit May 28-29 to Brussels.
Dimitrov is to take part Monday at the working breakfast with the EU foreign ministers organised by the Bulgaria’s EU Presidency ahead of upcoming Austria’s EU Presidency and Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) meeting. The central point in the discussions will be Macedonia’s European integration process, implementation of government’s reform agenda and good neighbourly relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.

Dimitrov on Tuesday will deliver a speech at the European Policy Centre on topic “The Macedonian name dispute: a test for EU enlargement to the Balkans.”

While in Brussels, Dimitrov will hold meetings with officials of the EU institutions and several EU foreign ministers.

After the last round of name talks in New York between foreign ministers of Macedonia and Greece, Nikola Dimitrov and Nikos Kotzias and UN mediator Matthew Nimetz who said that the negotiations will continue in Brussels, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not reveal whether Dimitrov will meet with Kotzias in Brussels.
