Dimitrov/Mogherini meeting: Macedonia back on the European track

Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov met with High Representative for Foreign Affairs of the EU, Federica Mogherini. The minister’s office said that the region’s stability and the European integration of Macedonia had been discussed.

– Macedonia returned to the European path, both with the domestic reform agenda, as well as with the stake and determination for building bridges and friendship with its neighbors. Macedonia today has an opportunity, but also a joint obligation with the EU, to show that we can not only stop the crisis, but also create irreversible success – the Republic of Macedonia finally comes out of the waiting room and starts accession negotiations with the Union, Dimitrov told the media after the meeting.
