Current developments and upcoming steps in the process of North Macedonia’s EU integration were in the focus of discussions of Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov with Jan Hecker, the German Chancellor’s foreign policy adviser, and Franz Neueder, deputy-chief adviser on European affairs.
Hecker and Neueder saluted North Macedonia’s success in the process of reforms and good neighborly relations, confirming the clear support for proper acknowledgment and opening of the next chapter on the EU path, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
During the Berlin visit, FM Dimitrov and Deputy PM Bujar Osmani met with CDU/CSU Bundestag member Johann Wadephul, discussing domestic reforms and the results from the agreements signed with Bulgaria and Greece, coming steps in the process of European integration, as well as the Bundestag’s support in this regard.
