Anticorruption will examine projects from the cultural program

Most of the disputable situations in the Annual Program for Culture are resolved by the withdrawal of the projects by the participants, and in some cases an opinion by the Anti-Corruption Commission is needed, Culture Minister Robert Alagjozovski said. He said that the appeal procedure would be an opportunity to address other disagreements.

– After years of absolute non-transparency in the Ministry, it was brave to announce the results, the winners and the approved amounts from one competition with as many as 5,000 registered and over 2,500 approved projects. Disputed projects do not exceed a single percentage in terms of funding. These are inadequate 20 projects and we think that this is a good result and a small margin of error for such a large and painstaking process. So, we generally think that the program is good, and we will resolve all irregularities to the end – stressed Alagjozovski.
