35.13% voter turnout until 17:00


Voter turnout in the first round of the presidential elections until 5 p.m. stands at 35.13 percent, says the State Election Commission (SEC) of nearly 80 percent of polling stations across the country.

“About 600,000 citizens have cast their vote, considering the data from the remaining polling stations,” said said SEC spokesperson Ljupka Guguchevska.

According to Guguchevska, the voting process is continual with minor irregularities.

Kriva Palanka has the highest turnout of 57.82 percent, followed by Novaci (53.74%), Demir Kapija (52.78%), Demir Hisar (51.94%) and Vevchani (50.93%).

The lowest turnout is registered in Plasnica (12.04%), Centar Zhupa (12.67%), Lipkovo (13.55%) and Zhelino (13.62%).
