Zaev to meet Gueterres today at the UN General Assembly

North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, who is heading the country’s delegation at the 74th United Nations General Assembly in New York, is set to meet with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres today.

Yesterday Zaev took part at a meeting of the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) held under the auspices of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

In the forum address, Zaev said North Macedonia will be committed to the EU accession process in the coming period and referred to the five priority sustainable development goals of the Government in period 2018-2020 – cutting poverty rates, quality education, decent work and economic growth, climate action, and strong institutions for peace and justice. Zaev is scheduled to address the UNGA on Saturday.
