Thousands of people from North Macedonia travel to Germany for work

While authorities in Skopje have not yet released data on the number of people who have left to EU countries, these figures were released from German authorities.

According to the German Bureau of Statistics, in 2018, the total number of citizens from North Macedonia who have gone to Germany is 18.478. Of them, 7812 have remained in Germany, while 10.666 have come back.

Based on total figures, the number of citizens from North Macedonia who have traveled and who have stayed in Germany in the recent years is over 100 thousand.
