Spasovski: The right to vote is inviolable and should not be violated by anyone

The right to vote is inviolable and should not be violated by anyone. The secrecy of the vote is guaranteed and the institutions will guarantee flawless administering the referendum on September 30, Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski said Sunday.

In a video message, Spasovski said that everyone should vote according to his/her own conviction and will.

“The vote of the citizens will decide for the future of Macedonia. Police will provide democratic voting atmosphere and free expression of the will of the citizens,” Spasovski said.

“Macedonia is a free democratic country and any kind of pressure, threat or blackmail during voting process will be prevented and sanctioned in accordance with the laws. This also applies to online activities. Any attempt to obstruct the exercise of the right to vote shall be sanctioned,” Spasovski underlined.
