Skopje continues to head the list of the most polluted cities in the world. AirVisual website, which publishes the list of the most polluted cities in the world, positions Skopje on the first place with the most polluted air in Europe and fifth in the world.

After two days, when the air was cleaner due to the wind, air pollution comes back to Skopje.

The situation is almost the same in other cities of the country too, where air pollution exceeds permitted levels, while in some cities, protests have taken place demanding the government to take measures.
