Silegov and Kaminis to sign Skopje-Athens cooperation agreement

Athens Mayor Giorgos Kaminis on Thursday and Friday will visit Skopje where the mayors of the capitals of Macedonia and Greece – Skopje and Athens – will sign a cooperation agreement, said the Municipality of Athens on Tuesday.

Kaminis’ trip to Skopje is a return visit after he hosted Skopje Mayor Petre Silegov during his visit to Athens in early February, MIA’s Athens correspondent reports.

In an interview with MIA following their meeting in Athens, Mayor Kaminis hinted at a signing of a cooperation memorandum during his planned visit to Skopje.

He told MIA there was willingness for cooperation.

“It’s time we get to know each other better,” said the Athens Mayor conveying a message to the citizens of Macedonia after the meeting with his counterpart from Skopje.
