North Macedonia’s Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bujar Osmani and Kosovo’s Deputy PM Enver Hoxhaj visited Monday the construction site of strategic project Belanovce in Republic of North Macedonia – Stancic border crossing point in Kosovo.

“This building is a joint project of the two countries having in mind that for its realization the rules of the two countries had to be harmonized,” Deputy PM Osmani said.

Osmani noted that the project is financed through the IPA cross-border cooperation program between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Kosovo amounting to €1.2 million, which is harmonized with the EU regulations and standards.

“In addition to economic and administrative purpose, the project has a deep political dimension, pointing out the good relations and confidence between two countries,” said deputy PM Osmani.

Osmani also referred to other projects that are being implemented aimed at promoting mutual connections on both sides of the border.
