Majority and opposition agree on voting bills concerning reforms in the justice system

The majority and opposition in Macedonia have agreed today on passing the bills needed for the reforms in the justice system and the Judicial Council. Work groups from SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE have come to an agreement concerning disciplinary measures for judges who disclose classified information from the trials and in cases when the rulings of the European Court of Human Rights are not fully complied with.

These bills are part of the package of reforms which was going to be voted in Parliament prior to the publication of the European Commission progress report on Macedonia. Deputy PM for European Affairs, Bujar Osmani said that the voting of these bills closes the chapter of the judicial reform. /ibna/
