Karamanlis: If necessary, we will play the veto card regarding the EU integration of neighbors

We will do everything to mitigate the consequences of the Prespa Agreement, protect trademarks and, if necessary, play the veto card regarding the EU integration of neighbors, says Greek Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Kostas Karamanlis.

“As much as SYRIZA is trying to convince us to the opposite, our position is firm. We would have never signed the Prespa Agreement. We believe it is damaging for the country, a disaster in a way, and that is why we did everything we could to prevent its adoption. Now we are doing everything to mitigate certain consequences, especially regarding the protection of trademarks of businesses from Macedonia. If necessary, we will play the veto card regarding the EU integration of neighbors. This is the strongest pressure tool at our disposal and rest assured that we will not leave it unused,” says Minister Karamanlis in an interview with Greek newspaper Parapolitika.
