IRC head Rexhepi receives Albanian order Skanderbeg

Albanian President Ilir Meta presented Thursday order Skanderbeg to Reis ul Ulema Efendi Sujelman Rexhepi, head of the Islamic Religious Community (IRC) in Macedonia.

The order is presented to Rexhepi for outstanding contribution in the promotion of peace, love, humanism and harmony of inter-religious coexistence. He is also honored for the protection of interests and Islamic religious life among Albanians, as well as the development of education and religious institutions.

Macedonian Ambassador to Tirana, Stojan Karajanov, representatives of religious communities in Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro, MPs and other guests attended the event.
