Greek media: Agreement on Northern Macedonia will be probably signed over the weekend in Prespa


Republic of Northern Macedonia is the name that has been agreed by two prime ministers, while the agreement between the two countries will be signed by Zoran Zaev and Alexis Tsipras over the weekend, probably on Saturday (June 16) in Prespa, on the Greek territory, Greek media report.

However, everything will become clearer after today’s telephone conversation between the two prime ministers, which the Greek media comment as crucial and likely to lead to a solution.

Greek media today also report on messages conveyed on Monday by Macedonian Prime Minister in the interview with Telma television and by Greek FM on Kontra television and optimism expressed by Zoran Zaev and Nikos Kotzias.

If agreement is reached today, it is expected Greek PM to firstly inform country’s president and afterwards the leaders of the political parties on a possible solution, MIA correspondent reports from Athens.

The media in Greece comment that over the weekend, probably on Saturday, Zoran Zaev and Alexis Tsipras could meet in Prespa, on Greek territory and to formalize what will be agreed today upon by telephone.
