Dimitrov ahead of the meeting with Kotzias: I am hoping on progress

Foreign minister, Nikola Dimitrov, said today that the process of negotiations about the name dispute is in a delicate phase, but he’s hoping that the spirit of Ohrid will help in overcoming differences about the contest which has lasted several years now. Dimitrov declared this following the meeting that he held with the head of the Ukrainian diplomacy, Pavle Klimki, when he was asked about his expectations from Thursday’s meeting with his Greek counterpart, Nikos Kotzias.

“The issue is a very important one, and all the rounds of talks are difficult. I am hoping on progress. I think that Macedonia’s approach and the approach of our neighboring country, Greece, shows that the process is in a delicate phase and we are focused on these talks”, Dimitrov said.

According to the agenda of the visit, tonight, Dimitrov and Kotzias will have a working dinner, while the negotiations are expected to continue tomorrow. /balkaneu.com/
